Why Discipleship Matters…the Jesus Model
Training ordinary, everyday people on the life, relationship and teaching of Jesus Christ has been transforming lives for 1,000 years. At Covenant Hope Church we have a passion for people to become disciples of Christ so they can pass the love, truth and grace to their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. We want to go beyond being a “membership church” and to grow as a “discipleship church” where disciples are training disciples who are training disciples.
Compassion
Jesus always showed compassion first: the woman at the well, the rich man, the disciples. He didn’t judge.
Community
No one wants to be alone. Whether single, married, a blended family or widowed, all want to be part of a community.
Connecting Stories
Everyone has a story. We want to know yours. We believe there are many people in Battle Creek who have a similar faith journey as yours. Jesus was constantly connecting people to himself through his story—the greatest story ever told.
Compass
Not everybody is looking for direction in their lives. For those who are, we believe the Bible is the road map to understanding life’s biggest questions, truth and peace. At Covenant Hope, we are amazed at how the more people engage in God’s word, the more they gain direction for their life, their families and their work.
